Here is another comprehension activity for our novel. This part of the book was very sad because it said lots of stuff about all of the dead men. I would feel very upset if this happened to my family and friends because I wouldn't want them to die :(

In the passage that Miss Hines read to us yesterday, Tommy went on a walk in the bush with his class. In the bush he found 4 different types of birds - Pukeko, Tui, Wood Pigeon and Weka. We had to choose one of these birds to research and create a presentation about. I chose to do the Wood Pigeon because I don't know much about them.

Today we started reading the book The Mines Afire! We had to think about what we would miss the most if we lived in Brunnerton at that time. Most of the boys in my class said that they would miss fortnight the most but I would miss my own room and comfortable bed.
