For Today's activity we had to write a diary entry about how we would feel about the situation if we lived there at that time and lost a family member. Here is my diary entry.
Hey Mia. Thank you so much for sharing your writing with us. I was super impressed with the backstory you wrote in regards to your father and how he lost his leg! I feel really sad when I think about all of the poor children who lost their fathers in the disaster. It is hard to believe that about 138 children were left fatherless. I don't know how I would feel if I lost my dad. Are you enjoying the book? Are you looking forward to visiting the mine site, because I sure am! I love going outside of the classroom to learn new things. Keep up the great work Mia. Miss H
